Below is a brief outline of the events to take place this coming Sunday morning at our 1st Annual Figure/Fitness Symposium.

- What does it take to compete?
- Gymnastics not required

- Muscle tone (not excessive), with shapely lines, overall firmness.
- Healthy appearance
- Make-up
- Routine
- Strength – 6 required moves – Degree of difficulty in executing moves, creativity in performing strength moves. Moves are:
- One Arm Push-up
- Straddle hold
- Leg Extension
- Full Split-Front
- High Kick
- Full-Spilt Side
- Flexibility
- Number of flexible moves
- Degree of difficulty in executing movements
- Creativity
- Tempo of routine
- Presentation
- Charisma
IV. Figure
- Two rounds ; (1) 1 piece and (2) 2 piece --- 1 piece for finals
- Judging Criteria
- Body shape – rounded muscles, aesthetically pleasing physique.
Condition of the skin and skin tone…NATURAL LOOK. Pose and confidence.
- Symmetry – balance of muscle; harmony and proportion of physique. Equal ratio of torso to leg length, shoulders to hips etc. harmony should also include upper and lower body development. Physique should will be assessed as to its level of overall muscle tone, achieved through athletic endeavors.
- Muscle tone – muscle groups should have a round and firm appearance with a small amount of body fat. Separations between muscle groups but know striations. The key word is a “physically fit” look. Muscle tone also means the absence of excessive fat and water with a sense of overall body hardness.
- Stage presence
- Appearance – flow between hair, make-up, suit design and color.
- Charisma / Professionalism
- Posing – Do’s and Don’ts

VI. Athlete Demeanor
After the presentation we will break into groups and begin individual discussions with our fine group of trainers, posing coaches, chorographers, make-up artist, tanning specialist, health and fitness educators and motivators, nutritionist and individual critique by judges.
We are starting at 10:00 am to allow those of you traveling from out of town time to arrive. We have had ladies from as far south as Brownsville and as far to the north as Wichita Falls contacting us regarding this event. Again, you need not compete to attend this is open to all who want to find out more about our sport and identify the resources necessary to compete.
