April 9 Update

Greetings All,

The 2007 contest season opened last weekend with the West Texas Classic in Lubbock, TX. This was the first year that the show was designated as a "Regional Qualifier." The designation along with the hospitality shown by Andrew and Kathleen Zamora and their assistant, Jenny Armstrong brought more than 50 competitors to the Red Raider Country. The competition was stiff, but one outstanding athlete stole the show. Ms. Carmen Chavez of Laredo, TX, competed and won the Fitness and Figure A class then closed out the evening by winning the Figure Overall. Her physique was incredible and her fitness
performance rivaled that of some pro's on the circuit today. Keep your eye on this young lady as I expect to see big things from her in the near future...like at National's Carmen (hint)!

For those of you looking ahead to competing in the 2008 season, I highly recommend you plan on competing at the West Texas Classic. This show as continued to grow each year. New promoters Andrew and Kathleen Zamora plan
to grow this contest even more in coming years. Their kindness and excellent customer service is sure to draw competitors from many states as the word gets out.

Next up we have the Ronnie Coleman Classic. "Big Ron" will be guest posing at his show this year which is always a treat for competitors and fans alike. Brian Dobson has stated that demand for entry forms has been high and ticket sales are have been greater than anticipated this early, so get in gear and purchase tickets early.

For those of you planning on competing who have not purchased your NPC card, I advise you wait to purchase the card from NPC staff at weigh-in. We will accept cash or money order for the cards.

I look forward to seeing each of you soon!

Train hard and demonstrate sportsmanship always,

February 25 Update

Greetings All,

I hope this update finds each of your training hard for the upcoming season. We are just 4 short weeks away from the West Texas Classic in Lubbock. The contest is shaping up nicely with a lot of communication between athletes and the promoters' staff. Just a month later we will be heading into the Ronnie Coleman Classic, which always provides a great line up of
competitors.

I want to wish each of our athletes competing in the upcoming Arnold Classic in Columbus, OH the best of luck.

Remember, it is not to early to get your NPC card, so register now to avoid any delays in receiving your card.

I look forward to seeing each of you soon. As always...

Train hard and demonstrate sportsmanship always,
